Another Winner at Warren County Art Festival! Best in Show, Honorable Mention
Had a blast despite battling the weather and wind in
Lebanon Ohio this Saturday. The winds put my poor Quest
tent to rest. Time to upgrade to a much better version.
Despite this foul day, I was fortunate to win 2nd Place for Best of Show! The voting was across all 70+vendors, not just photography, so I am more than excited of being awarded this honor. This is the second year in a row where I have won a “Best in Show” honoe at the Warren COunty Festival of the Arts.
So what did I learn from this bad weather??
1. It is hard to have fun at an art festival when you are afraid to let go of the tent leg pole.
2. I would have paid a fortune for a better tent as I saw the wind going after my 27 x 37 framed prints
3. Talking to other vendors, the Trimline tent was by far the best performer under these conditions. My next buy!
4. If you are worried about your tent or equipment holding up, go ahead and nreak down early, go talk to the event hosts and apologize and suck it up. It I would have not stopped, the weather did get much worse later and my prints would have been destroyed.

Helping out the Dayton community!
May 26, 2008 00:27
Wow did I have FUN this Saturday! I had the pleasure of
helping out Chisano and Montgomery County by taking
photos of children coming up for adoption. It was so
much fun: the kids were so easy to work with and they
had fun too. Also, my daughter Brylen joined in and
worked as my assistant by helping out with
lighting...boy did I need her help! We did the photos
shoot at Carillon Park in Downtown Dayton.
The parks are perfect for portraits!

The local parks are perfect for Portraits. The flower
are in full bloom and the grass is perfect green.
Just spent the morning shooting photos for Jaclyn and Josh and we had a GREAT time. Shot some photos at Cox then went into Germantown for some fund photos on a caboose, covered bridge, and old car.
Call me for availability and let's get shooting!
